SNORKELING IN ST. BARTHS with
"BLUE CAT CATAMARAN":
The best snorkeling time on the islets around St Barths with the crew of the biggest diving center of the island.
The small number of visitors as well as the exceptional quality of our clear
waters makes our snorkeling dive spots very much appreciated by our snorkelers
visitors. You will snorkel among the coral reefs where live a big number of
different species such as lobsters, crabs, eels, and lot of little fishes and
bigger ones like angels fishes, trunlk fishes, baloon fishes, squids, schoal of
blue tangs, our friendly sergent majors, shcole of grunts, different kinds of
groupers of all sizes and our common sea tortles babies and big ones.
The only way to have the best snorkeling time is to snorkel on the dive spots.
Far better than near the beaches where the places are too sandy and the visibility
is not so good . Thanks to the Marine Reserve rules only the dive operators are
alowded to snorkel or dive on the Marine Reserve.
We pratice the snorkeling activity on quiet places, shalow areas where the
catamaran will stay near the coral spot , with a lot of fishes, coral and sponges.
The staff is ready to assit any time as well as helping snorkelers with the
equipment , give anti fog into the mask, and serve drinks and snacks.
Drinks available on board : cold peach tea , tropical juice, light ruhm punch,
coke, diet coke, water. Snacks : cheaps, pinuts, cheese, baguette bread ,
sweets.

Before the snorkeling time ( about one hour ) our dive instructors will give
you informations on the safety rules , and also the sea life, the habit of some
fishes, fishes aware recognition with young and adults /male and female fishes
specificities as they wear different colors , the best places where to go, how
to swim according to the wind sense etc...
On board fish tables and books are available to recognise and find the names
of the fishes, or coral type, or algie specie with the advise of the dive instructor
that will tell more about our carribean fauna and flora.
We are used to help beginers . The first time in snorkleling is not a problem
as we will assist and give all explanations, you will love it ! We give some
colored "noodles" (boyancy devices) to have a good time in safety. So you float
and with no efforts admire the underwater sea life.
